Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus
LFH offers all the facilities to help the children to have healthy vision. All types of squint surgeries are routinely done here and we are proud of the outcomes. The clinic handles the maximum number of squint patients in Kerala. |

Neuro Ophthalmology :
The Neuro Ophthalmology clinic functions in Collaboration with the Neurology and Neurosurgery Departments. In addition to the facilities in the Neurology Department, the clinic has facilities to evaluate the visual field and the conditions of the optic nerve. |

Cornea Clinic:
This is one of the first centres in India to do corneal transplantations on a regular basis. With the help of specular Microscopy with Endothelial cell counter, ultrasonic pachymetry and General Topography we can assess the condition of the cornea for all types of surgical interventions. |

Glaucoma Clinic:
We have optical coherence Tomograph, Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph, Ultrasonic Pachymetry and Humphrey Field developers to detect the disease at very early stages. |

Oculoplasty:
Eye disorders like ptosis, orbital tumours, lacrymal intubation etc. are handled through effective surgical interventions. Socket reconstruction, cosmetic correction of eyelid disorders and orbitotomy for orbital tumours are some of the procedures routinely taken up here. Trauma cases with special emphasis on blow out fractures and canalicular reconstruction are also handled. This is one of the few centres in India, which implants gold in the lids for facial nerve palsy.

Cataract:
With some of the best surgeons in the State and state –of –the –art surgical instruments, we offer quality surgical treatment for cataract. Ophthalmologists specially trained in Peadiatric Catract is our peculiarity. For accurate measurement of IOL power we use Nidek Handheld Keratometer along with axial biometry, ensuring maximum visual recovery. The operation theatre is well equipped with five operating microscopes. |

Uvea-Clinic:
At the upgraded Uvea Clinic of the Little Flower Hospital, we have all facilities to investigate and treat conditions like Vogt Koyanagi Harada Syndrome, Eale’s disease and other forms of retinal vasculitis, intraocular tuberculosis, sarcoidosis the callous form of anterior and posterior uveitis. |

Refractive Surgery:
We started doing Redial Keratotomy in 1991. Then we switched on to PRK and to LASIK in 1996and now to LASEK in 2005. Now patients from all parts of the state come to our LASIK center and return with near perfect vision and a broad smile. |

Contact Lens:
Wide range of contact lenses including therapeutic lenses, cosmetic contact lenses and contact lenses for optical purposes are routinely handled here. Soft lenses, grid gas permeable lenses and toric lenses are available. Irregular astigmatism is treated by piggy back fitting. |

The counseling department of LFH plays an important role in the satisfaction of the patients. We have 4 counsellors trained in LVPI, Hyderabad and Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. Patients are given counseling services about which doctor is to be consulted for a particular disease, cost of various tests, surgeries etc, different facilities available etc.
