300 children presented as blind (visual acuity <3/60 in the better eye) will have good sight/vision (visual acuity 6/18 with available correction in at least one eye) 4 weeks to 26 weeks following medical treatment and/or prescription for spectacles and/or surgery received through the project.

7,000 children presented with poor sight/vision (visual acuity >3/60 and <6/18 in the better eye) will have good sight/vision (visual acuity 6/18 with available correction in at least one eye) 4-26 weeks following medical treatment and/or prescription for spectacles and/or surgery received through the project.

A fully equipped child friendly pediatric eye care unit will be established, with a trained team of eye care professionals (1 senior ophthalmologist, 1 junior ophthalmologist and 4 optometrists, 2 pediatric nurses, 1 counselor and 1 outreach coordinator)

 |
4 peripheral centres of the hospital will be strengthened to screen, examine and refer pediatric patients to the base hospital
|

 |
400 medical personnel including ophthalmologists, pediatricians and general practitioners will be oriented in pediatric eye care
|

 |
10,000 schoolteachers, community volunteers and anganwadi workers will be trained to identify and refer children with ocular problems to the Little Flower Hospital
|
| |
 |
100,000 children will be screened / examined at schools, outreach camps, vision centres and in the base hospital for eye diseases and visual impairment

| |
 |
Medical treatment and / or spectacles will be prescribed / provided to 20,000 children
|

 |
1,200 pediatric eye surgeries, 25% of which will be sight restorative surgeries will be performed and

10,000 mothers/caregivers will be educated on pediatric eye car
